Nemur,Strauss,Burt,andafewoftheothersontheprojectwerewaitingformeinthepsychoffice.TheytriedtomakemefeelwelcomebutIcouldseehowanxiousBurtwastotakeAlgernon,andIturnedhimover.Noonesaidanything,butIknewthatNemurwouldnotsoonforgivemeforgoingoverhisheadandgettingintouchwiththeFoundation.Butithadbeennecessary.BeforeIreturnedtoBeekman,Ihadtobeassuredtheywouldpermitmetobeginanindependentstudyoftheproject.ToomuchtimewouldbewastedifIhadtoaccounttoNemurforeverythingIdid.
