           HadtheyknownthatthechildhadseenthirteenmoonsbeforeithadcomeintoKala’spossessiontheywouldhaveconsidereditscaseasabsolutelyhopeless,forthelittleapesoftheirowntribewereasfaradvancedintwoorthreemoonsaswasthislittlestrangeraftertwenty-five.

           Tublat,Kala’shusband,wassorelyvexed,andbutforthefemale’scarefulwatchingwouldhaveputthechildoutoftheway.
