           Theywereneitherghostnortrulyflesh,hecouldseethat.TheyresembledmostcloselytheRiddlethathadescapedfromthediarysolongago,andhehadbeenmemorymadenearlysolid.Lesssubstantialthanlivingbodies,butmuchmorethanghosts,theymovedtowardhim.Andoneachface,therewasthesamelovingsmile.

           JameswasexactlythesameheightasHarry.Hewaswearingtheclothesinwhichhehaddied,andhishairwasuntidyandruffled,andhisglasseswerealittlelopsided,likeMr.Weasley’s.

           Siriuswastallandhandsome,andyoungerbyfarthanHarryhadseenhiminlife.Helopedwithaneasygrace,hishandsinhispocketsandagrinonhisface.

           Lupinwasyoungertoo,andmuchlessshabby,andhishairwasthickeranddarker.Helookedhappytobebackinthisfamiliarplace,sceneofsomanyadolescentwanderings.

           Lily’ssmilewaswidestofall.Shepushedherlonghairbackasshedrewclosertohim,andhergreeneyes,solikehis,searchedhisfacehungrily,asthoughshewouldneverbeabletolookathimenough.
