           Paganelwasjustfinishingthelastword,whenhiseyechancedtofallontheAustralianandNewZealandGazettelyingontheground.Thepaperwassofoldedthatonlythelasttwosyllablesofthetitlewerevisible.Paganel’spencilstopped,andheseemedtobecomeobliviousofGlenarvanandtheletterentirely,tillhisfriendscalledout:"Come,Paganel!"
