Whilstshehadbeengone,DoctorWinchesterhadtakenthebandagefromherfather’swrist.Thewoundwasnowquiteclear,astheseparatecutsshowedoutinfierceredlines.TheDoctorfoldedtheblotting-paperacrossthelineofpuncturesmadebythecat’sclaws,andhelditdownclosetothewound.Ashedidso,helookeduptriumphantlyandbeckonedusovertohim.
