           Lightswerethenprocured;andMessrs.BlathersandDuff,attendedbythenativeconstable,Brittles,Giles,andeverybodyelseinshort,wentintothelittleroomattheendofthepassageandlookedoutatthewindow;andafterwardswentroundbywayofthelawn,andlookedinatthewindow;andafterthat,hadacandlehandedouttoinspecttheshutterwith;andafterthat,alanterntotracethefootstepswith;andafterthat,apitchforktopokethebusheswith.
