Somehow,withtheassistanceofthebeautifulFoulata, who,sincewehadbeenthemeansofsavingherlife,hadconstitutedherselfourhandmaiden,andespeciallyGood’s,wemanagedtogetoffthechainshirts,whichhadcertainlysavedthelivesoftwoofusthatday. AsIexpected,wefoundthatthefleshunderneathwasterriblycontused,forthoughthesteellinkshadkepttheweaponsfromentering,theyhadnotpreventedthemfrombruising. BothSirHenryandGoodwereamassofcontusions,andIwasbynomeansfree.
