           Andsuddenly,theirwardrobeswereempty,theirtrunkswerepacked,Neville’stoadwasfoundlurkinginacornerofthetoilets;noteswerehandedouttoallstudents,warningthemnottousemagicovertheholidays("Ialwayshopethey’llforgettogiveusthese,"saidFredWeasleysadly); Hagridwastheretotakethemdowntothefleetofboatsthatsailedacrossthelake; theywereboardingtheHogwartsExpress;talkingandlaughingasthecountrysidebecamegreenerandtidier; eatingBettieBott’sEveryFlavorBeansastheyspedpastMuggletowns; pullingofftheirwizardrobesandputtingonjacketsandcoats; pullingintoplatformnineandthree-quartersatKing’sCrossStation. 

           Ittookquiteawhileforthemalltogetofftheplatform. Awizenedoldguardwasupbytheticketbarrier,lettingthemgothroughthegateintwosandthreessotheydidn’tattractattentionbyallburstingoutofasolidwallatonceandalarmingtheMuggles.
