Withherbroadbillthegoosepushedtheunhatchedeggoutofthenest,andtheentirecompanywatchedindisgustwhiletheratrolleditaway.EvenWilbur,whocouldeatalmostanything,wasappalled."Imaginewantingajunkyoldrottenegg!"hemuttered.

Hedisappearedintohistunnel,pushingthegooseegginfrontofhim.Hepushedandnudgedtillhesucceededinrollingittohislairunderthetrough.
Thatafternoon,whenthewindhaddieddownandthebarnyardwasquietandwarm,thegreygooseledhersevengoslingsoffthenestandoutintotheworld.Mr.ZuckermanspiedthemwhenhecamewithWilbur’ssupper.
