Sheputthethingsbackontheshelfandscrubbed.Thatnight,asshesatachinginthechair,Calcifergrumbledthathehaddrainedonehotspringdryforher.
“Wherearethesehotsprings?”Sophieasked.Shewascuriousabouteverythingthesedays.
“UnderthePorthavenMarshesmostly,”Calcifersaid.“Butifyougoonlikethis,I’llhavetofetchwaterfromtheWaste.Whenareyougoingtostopcleaningandfindouthowtobreakmycontract?”
