           Thesamegoesformaterialpossessions,money,hobbies,jobs,friends,andromantic/sexualpartners—allthelamesuperficialvaluespeoplechooseforthemselves.Theolderyouget,themoreexperiencedyouget,thelesssignificantlyeachnewexperienceaffectsyou.ThefirsttimeIdrankatapartywasexciting.Thehundredthtimewasfun.Thefivehundredthtimefeltlikeanormalweekend.Andthethousandthtimefeltboringandunimportant.

           Thebigstoryformepersonallyoverthepastfewyearshasbeenmyabilitytoopenmyselfuptocommitment.I’vechosentorejectallbuttheverybestpeopleandexperiencesandvaluesinmylife.Ishutdownallmybusinessprojectsanddecidedtofocusonwritingfull-time.Sincethen,mywebsitehasbecomemorepopularthanI’deverimaginedpossible.I’vecommittedtoonewomanforthelonghauland,tomysurprise,havefoundthismorerewardingthananyoftheflings,trysts,andone-nightstandsIhadinthepast.I’vecommittedtoasinglegeographiclocationanddoubleddownonthehandfulofmysignificant,genuine,healthyfriendships.
