Mrs.Wheatleyshowedherwherethebathroomwasdownthehallandthenleftheralonetounpack,closingthedoorbehindher.Bethsetdownherbagandwalkedaround,stoppingonlybrieflytolookouteachofthewindowsatthetree-linedstreetbelow.Therewasacloset,biggerthanMother’shadbeen,andanightstandbythebed,withalittlereadinglamp.Itwasabeautifulroom.IfonlyJolenecouldseeit.ForamomentshefeltlikecryingforJolene,shewantedJolenetobethere,goingaroundtheroomwithherwhiletheylookedatallthefurnitureandthenhungBeth’sclothesinthecloset.
