           ’Thatpoorthingwillbelateforthemeeting,"saidPippi. "Ifitwasaghost.Andnotanowl.Forthatmatter,therearen’tanyghosts,"shecontinuedafterawhile. "Ifanybodyinsiststhatthereareghosts,I’lltweakhiminthenose."

           Annikawassoscaredshecouldn’tevenshriek. Theghostcamenearerandnearer. TommyandAnnikahuggedeachotherandshuttheireyes. 

           Butthentheyheardtheghostsay, "LookwhatIfound!Papa’snightshirtinanoldseachestoverhere. IfIhemituparoundthebottomIcanwearit." 

           Pippicameuptothemwiththenightshirtdanglingaroundherlegs.
