’Thatpoorthingwillbelateforthemeeting,"saidPippi. "Ifitwasaghost.Andnotanowl.Forthatmatter,therearen’tanyghosts,"shecontinuedafterawhile. "Ifanybodyinsiststhatthereareghosts,I’lltweakhiminthenose."

Pippicameuptothemwiththenightshirtdanglingaroundherlegs.
