           Thenextdaythesamethinghappened.OnlythistimeApolloniawaswearingthegoldchainhehadgivenher.Hesmiledatherthen,knowingthatthiswasasignaltohim.Hewalkedwithherupthehill,hermotherclosebehindthem.ButitwasimpossibleforthetwoyoungpeopletokeeptheirbodiesfrombrushingagainsteachotherandonceApolloniastumbledandfellagainsthimsothathehadtoholdherandherbodysowarmandaliveinhishandsstartedadeepwaveofbloodrisinginhisbody.Theycouldnotseethemotherbehindthemsmilingbecauseherdaughterwasamountaingoatandhadnotstumbledonthispathsinceshewasaninfantindiapers.Andsmilingbecausethiswastheonlywaythisyoungmanwasgoingtogethishandsonherdaughteruntilthemarriage.

           Thiswentonfortwoweeks.Michaelbroughtherpresentseverytimehecameandgraduallyshebecamelessshy.Buttheycouldnevermeetwithoutachaperonebeingpresent.Shewasjustavillagegirl,barelyliterate,withnoideaoftheworld,butshehadafreshness,aneagernessforlifethat,withhelpofthelanguagebarrier,madeherseeminteresting.EverythingwentveryswiftlyatMichael’srequest.
