Whiletheeyesofthesisterswereendeavoringtocatchglimpsesthroughthetrees,ofthefloodofgoldenglorywhichformedaglitteringhaloaroundthesun,tinginghereandtherewithrubystreaks,orborderingwithnarrowedgingsofshiningyellow,amassofcloudsthatlaypiledatnogreatdistanceabovethewesternhills,Hawkeyeturnedsuddenly,and,pointingupwardstowardsthegorgeousheavens,hespoke:—
