           "Buttheyaren’tgoing‘wayoff,dear,"evadedAuntPolly,hurriedly. "They’regoingtostayrighttheretogether." 

           "Oh,I’msoglad! Thenthey’llbetherewhenIgouptoseeOdear!"brokeoffthelittlegirl,miserably. "AuntPolly,whyCAN’TIrememberthatmylegsdon’tgoanymore,andthatIwon’tever,evergouptoseeMr.Pendletonagain?" 

           "There,there,don’t,"chokedheraunt. "Perhapsyou’lldriveupsometime. Butlisten! Ihaven’ttoldyou,yet,allthatMrs.Paysonsaid. Shewantedmetotellyouthattheytheyweregoingtostaytogetherandtoplaythegame,justasyouwantedthemto."
