           Victoryhadbeenassuredbeforethefallofnight,butthepursuitwasstillonfoot,whenBilboreturnedtothecamp;andnotmanywereinthevalleysavethemoregrievouslywounded.

           "WherearetheEagles?"heaskedGandalfthatevening,ashelaywrappedinmanywarmblankets.
