"Strikemepink!"saidMaryPoppins.Thatwaswhatshealwayssaidwhenshewaspleased.
"Golly!"saidtheMatch-Man.Andthatwashisparticularphrase.
"Won’tyousitdown,Moddom?"enquiredavoice,andtheyturnedtofindatallmaninablackcoatcomingoutofthewoodwithatable-napkinoverhisarm.
MaryPoppins,thoroughlysurprised,satdownwithaplopupononeofthelittlegreenchairsthatstoodroundthetable.TheMatch-Man,staring,collapsedontoanother.
