           JaneandMichaelkeptoutofherwayasmuchaspossible,fortheyknewthatthereweretimeswhenitwasbetternottobeseenorheardbyMaryPoppins.

           "Iwishwewereinvisible,"saidMichael,whenMaryPoppinshadtoldhimthattheverysightofhimwasmorethananyself-respectingpersoncouldbeexpectedtostand.
