           "Diary,"repeatedCuss,sittingdown,puttingtwovolumestosupportthethird,andopeningit. "H'm—nonameonthefly-leaf.Bother!—cypher.Andfigures." 

           Thevicarcameroundtolookoverhisshoulder. 

           Cussturnedthepagesoverwithafacesuddenlydisappointed. "I'm—dearme!It'sallcypher,Bunting."
