           Blinded,themultitudesofstarklylithumanfacesgaspedasone,shieldingtheireyes,cryingoutinstrangledfear.

           Asthelightroaredoutinalldirections,theunimaginableoccurred.AsifboundbyGod’sownwill,thesurgingradiusseemedtohitawall.Itwasasiftheexplosionwerecontainedsomehowinagiantglasssphere.Thelightreboundedinward,sharpening,ripplingacrossitself.Thewaveappearedtohavereachedapredetermineddiameterandhoveredthere.Forthatinstant,aperfectandsilentsphereoflightglowedoverRome.Nighthadbecomeday.
