           ShegaveherhandtoSissy,asifshemeantwithherhelptoo.

           ‘Ifearso,father.Iknowhehadwantedmoneyverymuch,andhadspentagreatdeal.’

           ‘Thepoormanbeingabouttoleavethetown,itcameintohisevilbraintocastsuspiciononhim?’

           ‘Ithinkitmusthaveflasheduponhimwhilehesatthere,father.ForIaskedhimtogotherewithme.
