           Shehadturneduponherpillow,andlaywithherfaceuponherarm,sothathecouldnotseeit.Allherwildnessandpassionhadsubsided;but,thoughsoftened,shewasnotintears.Herfatherwaschangedinnothingsomuchasintherespectthathewouldhavebeengladtoseeherintears.

           ‘Somepersonshold,’hepursued,stillhesitating,‘thatthereisawisdomoftheHead,andthatthereisawisdomoftheHeart.Ihavenotsupposedso;but,asIhavesaid,Imistrustmyselfnow.Ihavesupposedtheheadtobeall-sufficient.
