Igrewmoreandmoreobsessedbythiscreationasthehourswenton.Shestoodatlast,palpably,vividlyembodiedbeforemyeyes,andwasexactlyasIwishedhertoappear.Herbodywastobedeformedandrepulsive,tall,verylean,andratherdark;andwhenshewalked,herlonglimbsshouldgleamthroughherdraperiesateverystrideshetook.Shewasalsotohavelargeoutstandingears.Curtly,shewasnothingfortheeyetodwellupon,barelyendurabletolookat.Whatinterestedmeinherwasherwonderfulshamelessness,thedesperatelyfullmeasureofcalculatedsinwhichshehadcommitted.Shereallyoccupiedmetoomuch,mybrainwasabsolutelyinflatedbythissingularmonstrosityofacreature,andIworkedfortwohours,withoutapause,atmydrama.
