Andtolieistoblasphemeagainstittoo.Because"nature"meansthenatureofthatwhichis.Andthatwhichisandthatwhichisthecasearecloselylinked,sothatnatureissynonymouswithTruth—thesourceofalltruethings.Toliedeliberatelyistoblaspheme—theliarcommitsdeceit,andthusinjustice.Andlikewisetoliewithoutrealizingit.Becausetheinvoluntaryliardisruptstheharmonyofnature—itsorder.Heisinconflictwiththewaytheworldisstructured.Asanyoneiswhodeviatestowardwhatisopposedtothetruth—evenagainsthiswill.Naturegavehimtheresourcestodistinguishbetweentrueandfalse.Andheneglectedthem,andnowcan’ttellthedifference.
Andtopursuepleasureasgood,andfleefrompainasevil—thattooisblasphemous.Someonewhodoesthatisboundtofindhimselfconstantlyreproachingnature—complainingthatitdoesn’ttreatthegoodandbadastheydeserve,butoftenletsthebadenjoypleasureandthethingsthatproduceit,andmakesthegoodsufferpain,andthethingsthatproducepain.Andmoreover,tofearpainistofearsomethingthat’sboundtohappen,theworldbeingwhatitis—andthatagainisblasphemy.
