           Andsoallthetelescopesandcamerasoftheworldwatchedhimflyingintothesun. Theysawhimlandamongtheflames,asbefore. Asbefore,theysawhisgreatraggedshapelikeanink-blotsprawledoverthecentreofthesun. Theysawhimbegintoglowred,thenorange. Andatlasttheycouldnolongerseehim.Heandthesunwereoneblindingwhiteness. 

           Hehaddoneitagain!Butwasthesunburninghimup? Hadhemeltedinthesun?Wherewashe? 

           No,herehewas,herehecame.Slowly,slowly,downthroughspace. Muchmoreslowlythanbefore. Hiswhite-hotflyingbodycooledslowlytoredashecame,andashegrewlarger,comingnearer,hefinallybecameoncemoreblack. Andthegreatblackshapeflaggeditswaydownthroughspaceuntil 

           BUMP!!!!!! 

           Heavierthanever,helandedonAustralia. Thistimethebumpwassoheavy,itknockeddowncertainsky-scrapers,senttidalwavessweepingintoharbours, andthrewherdsofcowsontotheirbacks. Allovertheworld,anybodywhohappenedtoberidingabicycleatthatmomentinstantlyfelloff. Thespace-bat-angel-dragonlandedsoponderouslybecausehewasexhausted. Andnowhewasaverychangedmonster. Thefiresofthesunhadworkedonhiminawaythatwasawfultosee.
