TheycametothepillaroftheWhiteHand.Thepillarwasstillstanding,butthegravenhandhadbeenthrowndownandbrokenintosmallpieces.Rightinthemiddleoftheroadthelongforefingerlay,whiteinthedusk,itsrednaildarkeningtoblack.
’TheEntspayattentiontoeverydetail!’saidGandalf.
Theyrodeon,andeveningdeepenedinthevalley.
