           Hisheartskippedabeatwhenaboyunexpectedlyappearedaroundacornerupahead,enteringthemainpassagefromoneoftheoffshootstotheright,runningtowardhimandtheGlade.Coveredinsweat,hisfacered,clothesstickingtohisbody,theboydidn’tslow,hardlyglancingatThomasashewentpast.HeheadedstraightforthesquatconcretebuildinglocatedneartheBox.

           Thomasturnedashepassed,hiseyesrivetedtotheexhaustedrunner,unsurewhythisnewdevelopmentsurprisedhimsomuch.Whywouldn’tpeoplegooutandsearchthemaze?ThenherealizedotherswereenteringthroughtheremainingthreeGladeopenings,allofthemrunningandlookingasraggedastheguywho’djustwhiskedbyhim.Therecouldn’tbemuchgoodaboutthemazeiftheseguyscamebacklookingsowearyandworn.
