           Winstonshrankbackuponthebed. Whateverhesaid,theswiftanswercrushedhimlikeabludgeon. Andyetheknew,heKNEW,thathewasintheright. Thebeliefthatnothingexistsoutsideyourownmindsurelytheremustbesomewayofdemonstratingthatitwasfalse? Haditnotbeenexposedlongagoasafallacy? Therewasevenanameforit,whichhehadforgotten. AfaintsmiletwitchedthecornersofO’Brien’smouthashelookeddownathim.
