Andallthewhile,lestoneshouldbeinanydoubtastotherealitywhichGoldstein’sspeciousclaptrapcovered, behindhisheadonthetelescreentheremarchedtheendlesscolumnsoftheEurasianarmy —rowafterrowofsolid-lookingmenwithexpressionlessAsiaticfaces,whoswamuptothesurfaceofthescreenandvanished, tobereplacedbyothersexactlysimilar.
