           Julienapproachedherwitheagerness,admiringthosebeautifularmswhichwerejustvisiblethroughahastilydonnedshawl.Thefreshnessofthemorningairseemedtoaccentuatestillmorethebrillianceofhercomplexionwhichtheagitationofthepastnightrenderedallthemoresusceptibletoallimpressions.Thisdemureandpatheticbeauty,whichwas,atthesametime,fullofthoughtswhichareneverfoundintheinferiorclasses,seemedtorevealtoJulienafacultyinhisownsoulwhichhehadneverbeforerealised.Engrossedinhisadmirationofthecharmsonwhichhisgreedygazewasriveted,Julientookforgrantedthefriendlywelcomewhichhewasexpectingtoreceive.
