           However,asIfoundthattherewasnolayingthemuponheaps,andnocarryingthemawayinasack,butthatonewaytheywouldbedestroyed,andtheotherwaytheywouldbecrushedwiththeirownweight,Itookanothercourse; forIgatheredalargequantityofthegrapes,andhungthemupupontheout-branchesofthetrees,thattheymightcureanddryinthesun; andasforthelimesandlemons,IcarriedasmanybackasIcouldwellstandunder. 

           WhenIcamehomefromthisjourney,Icontemplatedwithgreatpleasurethefruitfulnessofthatvalley, andthepleasantnessofthesituation;thesecurityfromstormsonthatside,thewaterandthewood; andconcludedthatIhadpitcheduponaplacetofixmyabode,whichwasbyfartheworstpartofthecountry. Uponthewhole,Ibegantoconsiderofremovingmyhabitation,andtolookoutforaplaceequallysafeaswhereInowwassituate,ifpossible,inthatpleasantfruitfulpartoftheisland.
