Hewasunkempt,uncombed,andcladinthesameoldruinofragsthathadmadehimpicturesqueinthedayswhenhewasfreeandhappy. Tomroutedhimout,toldhimthetroublehehadbeencausing,andurgedhimtogohome. Huck’sfacelostitstranquilcontent,andtookamelancholycast. Hesaid:
