Tom’smindwasmadeupnow. Hewasgloomyanddesperate. Hewasaforsaken,friendlessboy,hesaid;nobodylovedhim; whentheyfoundoutwhattheyhaddrivenhimto,perhapstheywouldbesorry; hehadtriedtodorightandgetalong,buttheywouldnotlethim; sincenothingwoulddothembuttoberidofhim,letitbeso; andletthemblameHIMfortheconsequences—whyshouldn’tthey?
