           Aboutnoon,afteralongandwearytramp,thegangcametoahaltbehindahedgeontheoutskirtsofaconsiderablevillage.Anhourwasallowedforrest,thenthecrewscatteredthemselvesabroadtoenterthevillageatdifferentpointstoplytheirvarioustrades‘Jack’wassentwithHugo.Theywanderedhitherandthitherforsometime,Hugowatchingforopportunitiestodoastrokeofbusiness,butfindingnonesohefinallysaid

           "Iseenoughttosteal;itisapaltryplace.Whereforewewillbeg."

           "We,forsooth!Followthytradeitbefitsthee.ButIwillnotbeg."

           "Thou’ltnotbeg!"exclaimedHugo,eyeingtheKingwithsurprise."Prithee,sincewhenhastthoureformed?"
