Twomenemergedfromtheholebythecommunicationsequipment,spoketotheguardsthere.

Stilgarmovedtoobey.
Paulcrouchedwithhisbacktotherock,stretchinghismuscles,straightened.
HesawStilgarsendingthetwomenbackintothatdarkholeintherock,thoughtaboutthelongclimbdownthatnarrowman-madetunneltothefloorofthebasin.

“Whatwassoimportantthattheycouldn’tsendacielagowiththemessage?”
Paulasked.
“They’resavingtheirbirdsforthebattle,”Stilgarsaid.Heglancedatthe
communicationsequipment,backtoPaul.“Evenwithatightbeam,itiswrongtousethosethings,Muad’Dib.Theycanfindyoubytakingabearingonitsemission.”
“They’llsoonbetoobusytofindme,”Paulsaid.“Whatdidthemenreport?”
“OurpetSardaukarhavebeenreleasednearOldGaplowontherimandareontheirwaytotheirmaster.Therocketlaunchersandotherprojectileweaponsareinplace.Thepeoplearedeployedasyouordered.Itwasallroutine.
