Theymovedonandonandon....Musclesreachedastageofmechanicalachingthatseemedtostretchoutindefinitely,butPaulsawthatthebeckoningescarpmentaheadofthemhadclimbedhigher.
Jessicamovedinavoidofconcentration,awarethatthepressureofherwillalonekeptherwalking.Drynessachedinhermouth,butthesoundsbehinddroveawayallhopeofstoppingforasipfromherstillsuit’scatchpockets.

Renewedfrenzyeruptedfromthedistantcliff,drowningoutthethumper.
