AndwhentheycametoCamelot,KingArthurmadegreatjoy,andallthecitywithhim;andridingforthwithagreatretinuehemetGuinevereandhercompany,andledherthroughthestreetsallfilledwithpeople,andinthemidstofalltheirshoutingsandtheringingofchurchbells,toapalacehardbyhisown.
Then,inallhaste,thekingcommandedtopreparethemarriageandthecoronationwiththestateliestandmosthonourablepompthatcouldbemade.Andwhenthedaywascome,thearchbishopsledthekingtothecathedral,wheretohewalked,cladinhisroyalrobes,andhavingfourkings,bearingfourgoldenswords,beforehim;achoirofpassingsweetmusicgoingalsowithhim.

Whenthekingwascrowned,hecalledtogetheralltheknightsthatcamewiththeRoundTablefromCamelgard,andtwenty-eightothers,greatandvaliantmen,chosenbyMerlinoutofalltherealm,towardsmakingupthefullnumberofthetable.
