           Intheywent;Idon’tknowhowtherewasroomforthem,butyoucansqueezeverytightintheNeverland.AndthatwasthefirstofthemanyjoyouseveningstheyhadwithWendy.Byandbyshetuckedthemupinthegreatbedinthehomeunderthetrees,butsheherselfsleptthatnightinthelittlehouse,andPeterkeptwatchoutsidewithdrawnsword,forthepiratescouldbeheardcarousingfarawayandthewolveswereontheprowl.Thelittlehouselookedsocosyandsafeinthedarkness,withabrightlightshowingthroughitsblinds,andthechimneysmokingbeautifully,andPeterstandingonguard.Afteratimehefellasleep,andsomeunsteadyfairieshadtoclimboverhimontheirwayhomefromanorgy.Anyoftheotherboysobstructingthefairypathatnighttheywouldhavemischiefed,buttheyjusttweakedPeter’snoseandpassedon.
