           Theothersenatorsknewhewasright.Itwasalessonfromhistory.ButtheydidnotknowthatCommoduswasplanningbetterandlongergamesthananyemperorbeforehim.Anditwasallforonereason.Commodusknewhehadnochoice.HeandtheSenatedidnotagreeaboutanythingandhecouldnotbecertainoftheirsupport.SohehadtolookbeyondtheSenateandgostraighttothepeopleforhispower.Thegameswerethekey.AsLucillahadsaid,thepeoplemusthavetheirtraditions.Andhewouldnotdenyhiscitizenstheirtraditionalgames.
