           Motherdidnotspendallhertimeinpayingdullcallstodullladies,andsittingdullyathomewaitingfordullladiestopaycallstoher.Shewasalmostalwaysthere,readytoplaywiththechildren,andreadtothem,andhelpthemtodotheirhome-lessons.Besidesthissheusedtowritestoriesforthemwhiletheywereatschool,andreadthemaloudaftertea,andshealwaysmadeupfunnypiecesofpoetryfortheirbirthdaysandforothergreatoccasions,suchasthechristeningofthenewkittens,ortherefurnishingofthedoll’shouse,orthetimewhentheyweregettingoverthemumps.
