"Notthatitisn’talwayswinternow,"headdedgloomily. Thentocheerhimselfuphetookoutfromitscaseonthedresserastrangelittleflute thatlookedasifitweremadeofstrawandbegantoplay. Butamomentlatersheasked,"MrTumnus!Whateveristhematter?" fortheFaun’sbrowneyeshadfilledwithtears andthenthetearsbegantricklingdownitscheeks, andsoontheywererunningofftheendofitsnose; andatlastitcovereditsfacewithitshandsandbegantohowl.
