           Elizabethwastoomuchembarrassedtosayaword. Afterashortpause,hercompanionadded, "Youaretoogeneroustotriflewithme. IfyourfeelingsarestillwhattheywerelastApril,tellmesoatonce. Myaffectionsandwishesareunchanged,butonewordfromyouwillsilencemeonthissubjectforever."
