SoSirTristramdepartedfromIrelandandtooktheseaandcamewithafairwindtoTintagil.AndwhenthenewscametoKingMarkthatSirTristramwasreturned,healedofhiswound,hewaspassingglad,andsowereallhisbarons.Andwhenhehadvisitedthekinghisuncle,herodetohisfather,KingMeliodas,andtherehadalltheheartiestwelcomethatcouldbemadehim.Andboththekingandqueengavelargelytohimoftheirlandsandgoods.
AnonhecameagaintoKingMark’scourt,andtherelivedingreatjoyandpleasure,tillwithinawhilethekinggrewjealousofhisfame,andoftheloveandfavourshownhimbyalldamsels.AndaslongasKingMarklived,heneverafterlovedSirTristram,thoughtherewasmuchfairspeechbetweenthem.
