Meanwhile,SirTristram,beingsorelywounded,satdownsoftlyonalittlemoundandbledpassingfast;andinthatevilcasewasfoundanonbyGovernaleandKingMark’sknights.Thentheygentlytookhimupandbroughthiminabargebacktotheland,andliftedhimintoabedwithinthecastle,andhadhiswoundsdressedcarefully.
Butforagreatwhilehelaysorelysick,andwaslikelytohavediedofthefirststrokeSirMarhaushadgivenhimwiththespear,forthepointofitwaspoisoned.
