ItwasthismorningdiscoveredbyRobertHart,nightwatchmanattheNorthBurialGround,thatghoulswereagainatworkintheancientportionofthecemetery.ThegraveofEzraWeeden,whowasbornin1740anddiedin1824accordingtohisuprootedandsavagelysplinteredslateheadstone,wasfoundexcavatedandrifled,theworkbeingevidentlydonewithaspadestolenfromanadjacenttool-shed.
Whateverthecontentsmayhavebeenaftermorethanacenturyofburial,allwasgoneexceptafewsliversofdecayedwood.Therewerenowheeltracks,butthepolicehavemeasuredasinglesetoffootprintswhichtheyfoundinthevicinity,andwhichindicatethebootsofamanofrefinement.
