ButtheRedQueenlookedsulky,andgrowled‘Pudding—Alice;Alice—Pudding.Removethepudding!’andthewaiterstookitawaysoquicklythatAlicecouldn’treturnitsbow.
However,shedidn’tseewhytheRedQueenshouldbetheonlyonetogiveorders,so,asanexperiment,shecalledout‘Waiter!Bringbackthepudding!’andthereitwasagaininamomentlikeaconjuring-trick.Itwassolargethatshecouldn’thelpfeelingalittleshywithit,asshehadbeenwiththemutton;however,sheconqueredhershynessbyagreateffortandcutasliceandhandedittotheRedQueen.
