           Hewokewiththejerkofhisrightfistcomingupagainsthisfaceandthelineburningoutthroughhisrighthand. Hehadnofeelingofhislefthandbuthebrakedallhecouldwithhisrightandthelinerushedout. Finallyhislefthandfoundthelineandheleanedbackagainstthelineandnowitburnedhisbackandhislefthand, andhislefthandwastakingallthestrainandcuttingbadly. Helookedbackatthecoilsoflineandtheywerefeedingsmoothly. Justthenthefishjumpedmakingagreatburstingoftheoceanandthenaheavyfall. Thenhejumpedagainandagainandtheboatwasgoingfastalthoughlinewasstillracingout andtheoldmanwasraisingthestraintobreakingpointandraisingittobreakingpointagainandagain. Hehadbeenpulleddowntightontothebowandhisfacewasinthecutsliceofdolphinandhecouldnotmove.
