           DownstairsrantheGiantingreatjoy,andoutintothegarden.Hehastenedacrossthegrass,andcameneartothechild.Andwhenhecamequiteclosehisfacegrewredwithanger,andhesaid,"Whohathdaredtowoundthee?"Foronthepalmsofthechild’shandsweretheprintsoftwonails,andtheprintsoftwonailswereonthelittlefeet.

           "Whohathdaredtowoundthee?"criedtheGiant;"tellme,thatImighttakemybigswordandslayhim."

           "Nay!"answeredthechild;"butthesearethewoundsofLove."

           "Whoartthou?"saidtheGiant,andastrangeawefellonhim,andhekneltbeforethelittlechild.

           AndthechildsmiledontheGiant,andsaidtohim,"Youletmeplayonceinyourgarden,to-dayyoushallcomewithmetomygarden,whichisParadise."

           Andwhenthechildrenraninthatafternoon,theyfoundtheGiantlyingdeadunderthetree,allcoveredwithwhiteblossoms.
