Aftertheyhadgonehefeltlonely,andbegantotireofhislady-love.“Shehasnoconversation,”hesaid,“andIamafraidthatsheisacoquette,forsheisalwaysflirtingwiththewind.”Andcertainly,wheneverthewindblew,theReedmadethemostgracefulcurtseys.“Iadmitthatsheisdomestic,”hecontinued,“butIlovetravelling,andmywife,consequently,shouldlovetravellingalso.”

“Willyoucomeawaywithme?”hesaidfinallytoher;buttheReedshookherhead,shewassoattachedtoherhome.

“Youhavebeentriflingwithme,”hecried.“IamofftothePyramids.Good-bye!”andheflewaway.

Alldaylongheflew,andatnight-timehearrivedatthecity.“WhereshallIputup?”hesaid;“Ihopethetownhasmadepreparations.”

“Iwillputupthere,”hecried;“itisafineposition,withplentyoffreshair.”SohealightedjustbetweenthefeetoftheHappyPrince.
